Craft Beer & Food Lovers Case

£30.00

Here at Vittles & Company we’re as much about a love of food as we are beer. Hence the name ‘Vittles’, which is a old and seldom used word for food. This case represents some of our absolute favourites from both camps. Some are from local breweries we have a personal relationship with (like Bricknell, who’s brewer is the father of our own brewer, Pete). Tynt Meadow is from the UK’s only Trappist brewery at Mount St Bernards Abbey, and the Scotch Bonnet Chutney is one which we sell in out Café Bar, made by chilli afficionado John Cadey at The Beatroot Collective.

Chocolate Porter

6.6% ABV – Bricknell Brewery – Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire

A traditional porter recipe, comprising pale, crystal, brown and chocolate malts, together with English hop varieties for bitterness and aroma. Chocolate extract is added at the bottling stage, to add to the rich, dark, chocolatey flavour.

Tynt Meadow Strong Ale – English

7.4% ABV – Mount Saint Bernard Abbey – Coalville, Leicestershire

Trappist beers tend to be named after the place in which the monastery is situated.  This one is called ‘Tynt Meadow’, to honour the link with the plot of land on which monastic life was refounded in the Midlands almost two centuries ago. Being part of the great Trappist tradition, this is a strong dark ale, but one with a clearly English character. Tynt Meadow is mahogany-coloured, with a subtle, warm red hue, and a lasting beige head. Its aroma carries hints of dark chocolate, liquorice, and rich fruit flavours. The beer is full-bodied, gently balancing the taste of dark chocolate, pepper, and fig. It leaves a warm and dry finish on the palate.

George Kranky – 45% Milk Chocolate Bar – The Chocolat Story

Each bar is it’s own unique work of art, and each recipe is inspired by a classic children’s story. The Chocolat Story make beautifully decorated bars of chocolate in their small production kitchen in Waltham, North East Lincs.

Brazil Fazenda Pantano Coffee – The Blending Room

We’re proud to serve The Blending Room’s coffee in our own Café Bar, because we believe they roast the best coffee in the region. The Brazilian is the one we serve day-in day-out. It’s led by an aroma of orange, with a rich Hazelnut palate and long Milk Chocolate Finish.

The coffee in the bag is wholebean as standard. If you’d prefer ground, just message us at richard@vittlesandcompany.co.uk when you’ve placed your order.

Chasm IPA – New England

4.8% ABV – Raven Hill – York, England

This was inspired by the Raven Hill community looking for a sessionable version of their heavier beer Ravine. Packed with tropical fruits from Mosaic, Cascade & Amarillo. This is a refreshing, light hop filled hazy beer.

Sensational Bora Bora (Red Berries) – The Tea Makers of London

The King of fruit teas! Named after the island of Bora Bora, this loose leaf fruit tea is created by combining an array exquisite fruits to create a sweet and tangy flavour. One of the most popular teas at our Café.

Scotch Bonnet Jam – The Beatroot Collective

Handmade in small batches. This fiery, sweet & fruity jam is for those who like that extra heat! A versatile condiment that makes a delicious partner to cheese & meat boards, grilled chicken, burgers, fish, wraps, sandwiches and nachos.
